Boxing Returns To Stockton Saturday With Toscano Boxing Promotions

Toscano Boxing returns to Stockton, California

Saturday, December 4th – Fite.TV (PPV) – Tickets

Toscano Boxing Promotions returns with a card in Stockton with some evenly matched bouts on the top of the card.

Toscano Boxing Promotions’ junior middleweight Damian “Samurai” Sosa is in for a tough bout as he faces Clay Collard, an upset-minded opponent, who will give Sosa a 50-50 fight. Sosa has been built back to life after a 2019 loss in Canada to Artem Oganesyan for a form WBO super welterweight title. Toscano has kept him active, he is on a 7-fight win streak, picking up the WBO Latino super welterweight title in his last bout, getting a split-decision win over Abel Mina.

To this point in Sosa’s career, he struggled to separate from opponents, and against Clay Collard, he has to avoid his bad habits of sitting on the ropes, and also being reckless on defense. A solid main event that if Sosa will be able to get a big money fight, this is the type of fight he has to win, and to get on the national radar, he has to make a statement.

Manuel Jaimes vs. Moises Flores will be the co-main event, as Manuel Jaimes, who is a current WBC youth champion, is in the running for ITRBoxing.com’s Northern California Fighter of the Year, but will face a former world title challenger in Flores, who fought Daniel Roman in recent memory, as well as world champion Brandon Figueroa. Jaimes is coming off a draw in seemingly the “logistical fight from hell” situation in his last fight, in which he didn’t look like himself. Jaimes will get himself into the world title picture with a win. Notable is that Flores hasn’t weighed in at less than 140 lbs in his last two bouts, though was a career 122 lber prior.

A very good super flyweight in Vincent Avina will be in-action, as he spent time with Ismael Salas for this camp, and will face Alexis Salido, who has only one loss, and that is a very good pro prospect, Michael Angeletti.

Other notables, lightweight Wade Jones III, who is signed to Toscano Boxing Promotions will look to rebound after a defeat in his last fight in Mexico, and Gabriel Muratalla, the brother of Raymond, who fought on the Terence Crawford versus Shawn Porter PPV undercard will be on the card as well.

For fight fans, Robert Garcia will be at this show as well.
