UNDEFEATED SUPER BANTAMWEIGHT, AND BRAINS BIO AMBASSADOR, SHABAZ ‘THE MAVERICK’ MASOUD TO VIE FOR FIRST PROFESSIONAL TITLE THIS FRIDAY, NOV. 11

Undefeated rising boxing star, Shabaz “Maverick” Masoud, a UK crowd favorite and career-long brand ambassador for Brains Bioceutical Corp., a leading NSF certified manufacturer of THC-free cannabidiol (CBD) products, will vie for his first professional title this Friday, November 11, at Sheffield Arena in Sheffield, UK, when he challenges current belt holder and domestic rival Jack Bateson for his WBA Inter-Continental Super Bantamweight Championship.

Presented by Probellum, Masoud (10-0, 3 KOs), from Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, will face defending champion Bateson (17-0, 4 KOs) from Leeds in a 10-round showdown, as one of the main televised supporting bouts to the UK’s Sunny ‘Showtime’ Edwards (18-0, 4 KOs) defending his IBF World Flyweight Championship for the third time in a 12-round battle against hard-punching Nicaraguan challenger Felix Alvarado (38-2, 33 KOs).

Also, on the undercard will be Thomas Essomba’s and Marcel Braithwaite’s bout for the BBBOC British Super Flyweight belt.

In addition to the championship belt, the winner of Masoud vs. Bateson will also be presented with the Ali Tazeem Trophy – an annual award newly created by Probellum to honour the late Ali Tazeem, an 18-year-old prospect who was killed in a traffic accident last April.

Boxing fans in the UK can watch the fights on FITE TV, starting at 2pm ET/ 7pm GMT on Friday, November 11. You can win two VIP Ringside tickets to see the fights live, courtesy of Brains Bioceutical, by clicking HERE.

Masoud, often recognized as the heir apparent to former champion Naseem Hamed, has proudly advocated for the benefits of Brains Bioceutical’s THC-free CBD products to help combat the wear-and-tear the body goes though in training camp, help to quicken recovery time from minor injuries, and help improve his nightly sleep.

“I want to thank Brains Bioceutical for all their help throughout my career,” said Masoud during a break in final preparations. “They’ve been by my side throughout this incredible journey and they’re a big reason why I’ll be coming into the ring in the best shape of my life, both mentally and physically. I’ve become a version of myself that can’t be beaten with their help, and you’ll see what I mean on Friday night.”

Masoud, along with fellow fighting Brains proponents Carl Froch, Billy Joe Saunders and the McCormack Brothers (Pat & Luke), as well as the Brains Bio executive team, members of the media, dignitaries from the global pharmaceutical medical and public health sectors, local and national politicians, investors, researchers, partners, and other stakeholders, was in attendance late last September, when Brains Bioceutical Corp celebrated the grand opening of its recently completed EU-GMP cannabinoid manufacturing facility in Sandwich, United Kingdom.

Brains, a leading supplier in the field of EU GMP cannabinoid based Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients, will use their new facility, the UK’s Largest facility of its kind, as a global research center for cannabinoid research, testing, and commercialization of natural EU GMP API’s.

“For his entire professional career, Shabaz has been a superb advocate for our products and their benefits to athletes of every caliber,” said Brains Chairperson and CEO, Ricky Brar. “Our team has created one of the purest plant-based CBD molecules on the market. Altheltes like Shabaz allow us to demonstrate first-hand the therapeutic potentials of our Brains PURE line. We send all our best wishes to this fine young man and incredible competitor, as he takes another giant step toward his destiny as a truly great fighter.”
