Jeremiah Milton Returns To Tusla This Saturday, With New Promoter

Jeremiah Milton, who has been managed for his whole pro career by Victory Sports, and now is being promoted by Tony Holden Promotions, who is an Oklahoma-based promoter, that has been helping put together fights on the Jake Paul PPV cards in the past year, will face Jason Bergman in a heavyweight contest on the undercard of the Robson Conceição vs. Xavier Martinez, this Saturday, January 29th, in Tusla, Oklahoma, Milton’s hometown, though he has trained in Las Vegas, Nevada since turning pro.

“Camp has been great,” said Milton as he prepped to head to the Mayweather Boxing Gym in Las Vegas, Nevada for a final workout before getting ready to leave town for his upcoming fight. “My goal and my teams goal is for me to fight four, five maybe even six times this year, and my personal goal is to be in ten-round fights by the end of the year. A lot of people will see it as a lofty goal, but I think that it is very reasonable, and I am only 3-0 right now, but I am sparring some of the best fighters in the world, and I know that by being active I can achieve my goal of fighting the very best and putting on exciting fights for the fans. I want to be the face of Tusla boxing for the next decade.”

Milton turned pro after a strange end to his amateur run. He went to the Olympic Trials, got second place to now signed Top Rank Inc heavyweight Antonio Mireles, a giant of a man, and then lost his spot on USA Boxing’s team to Richard Torrez Jr., the inevitable 2020 Olympic super heavyweight silver medalist. Milton, then would sign with Victory Sports, move to Las Vegas, turn pro during the pandemic, and now with a promoter, looks to be very active.

“This is my whole life, all I do is boxing, there is nothing else I do currently,” said Milton. “I know what I am capable of, and what I want to do in the sport, now it is just getting myself into position to get into the type of fights the fans want to see. I am not in the position to call out fighters, but I am eager to pursue fights once the fans are aware of what I am capable of, and my name has grown a bit in the sport.”

Milton is now working with Otis Pimpleton, an old-school trainer, who is well-known in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“Otis is a nut,” said Milton with a smile when thinking about his trainer who is a larger-than-life persona in the Mayweather Boxing Gym. “I am excited to have my first fight with him, it is going to be a great performance.”

Yet, Bergman is no slouch. The upset-minded journeyman heavyweight has tested many fighters, and even gave Trey Lippe Morrison a tough bout until getting injured. A deceptive record that doesn’t tell the average viewer, what Bergman is capable of, which is making a prospect look bad.

My thoughts are if, Milton stays active, he is a prime contender to end up on a Jake Paul card or a ShoBox-type card, as he can fight, is willing to fight, and is one of the best interviews in the sport. Milton has the chance to be a fighter that America falls in love with over the next decade.
