Welterweights Devon Alexander and Diego Chaves will do battle for the IBF welterweight title, but before the fight will go to purse bid, which will happen on Thursday, July 2nd. Both fighters have on a run of ugly fights as Alexander has recently lost to most of the high level opposition he has faced with the exception of Jesus Soto Karass, Chaves has done a bit better seemingly winning a few fights before either getting knocked out, disqualified or getting a draw.

This fight also comes on the heels of Devon Alexander dropping a homophobic rant on Twitter as he opposed equal rights apparently.
