It is now official as Argentine puncher Lucas Matthysse will be taking on Ukrainian volume Viktor Postol in a styles clash to determine the next WBC junior welterweight champion vacated by Danny Garcia earlier this year. The news was first reported by ESPN.com, who also in their report explained that the deal was negotiated at the eleventh hour to avoid a purse bid .

The bout which will take place at the StubHub Center in Carson, CA will also feature junior welterweight Humberto Soto taking on Antonio Orozco. The winner of Matthysse-Postol will face Amir Imam who is know the number one contender for the WBC super lightweight title.
