David Lemieux tested by Marco Reyes in co-main event

David Lemieux (38-3 33KOs) was given a tough test against Mexico’s Marco Reyes (35-5 26KOs) in the co-main event of Canelo Alvarez vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. from Las Vegas, Nevada at the T-Mobile Arena.

Lemieux started strong winning the first three rounds even hurting Reyes bad in the third, but Lemieux appeared to fatigue in the fourth round as Reyes picked up some of the middle rounds before Lemieux came back on in the fight.

The eighth round saw Reyes deducted a point for hitting after the bell, but didn’t deduct a point to David Lemieux who also hit after the bell.

The judges saw the bout 99-90, 99-90 and 98-91.
