The boxers have been announced for the reboot of “The Contender,” beginning August 24 on EPIX. The winner gets $250,000. The show is hosted by Andre Ward with two teams of middleweight fighters trained by Freddie Roach and Naazim Richardson.
Amongst those featured on the show are two Central California fighters including Daniel Valdivia of Tulare, Ca and Marcos Hernandez of Fresno, CA.
The show will also feature former title contenders Brandon Adams, John Thompson and Ievgen Khytrov.
